There is a wealth of general business support available from regional and national public sector partners and organisations to help you maximise your potential.  Here we offer links to some of those who offer advice and help to the manufacturing sector in particular.

  • Carbon Trust - A not-for-profit company supporting businesses and the public sector to cut carbon emissions, save energy and commercialise low carbon technologies to accelerate the move to a low carbon economy.
  • Chambers of Commerce - Providing representation, services, information and guidance to the local business community.
  • CRed - Advice and support for businesses to get to grips with how a low carbon future is a catalyst to business excellence and innovation.
  • CSEng - Centre for Sustainable Engineering is a national initiative supporting businesses developing innovative and more sustainable technologies.
  • EEEgr - A single focal point representing the energy industry and striving to ensure that all these regional assets combine to form a world-class industry capable of competing in a global energy market.
  • EEF - Industry body dedicated to helping manufacturing businesses evolve, innovate and compete in a fast-changing world.
  • EEDA Invest -Overseas-owned businesses looking to locate their operations in the East of England can benefit from dedicated Inward Investment support offered by the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) via EEDA Invest.
  • Envirowise - Offers free, independent support to your business helping you to become more resource efficient and save money.
  • Hethel Engineering Centre - the EEDA-funded Enterprise Hub that plays such a key role within the manufacturing sector.  
  • IfM - Academic institution that integrates research and education with practical application to address the full spectrum of issues within manufacturing.
  • IfM Education and Consultancy Services - A company wholly owned by the University of Cambridge whose purpose is to disseminate the IfM's research and education outputs to industry and governments.
  • MAS East - MAS East is a dedicated source of support to engineering, manufacturing and technology businesses within the region.
  • Renewables East - The renewable energy agency promoting the benefits of renewable energy to the East of England.
  • Resource Efficiency East - A specialist provider of guidance and support on resource efficiency to small and medium-sized enterprises in the East of England.
  • TakeITon - Campaign to promotes business success in the East of England through the use of IT
  • UKTI - Provides expert trade advice and support to UK-based companies wishing to grow their business overseas and practical assistance to international companies establishing and expanding their business in the UK.
  • WRAP - WRAP's vision is a world without waste, where resources are used sustainably.  WRAP work with businesses and individuals to help them reap the benefits of reducing waste, develop sustainable products and use resources in an efficient way.
